They’ll woo and romance you and tell you what you want to hear. Widows are particularly susceptible to such scams as they heal from the loss of a spouse.

At some point they’ll ask you for money. They’ll ask you to send them money for the train or plane ticket so they can come visit you. They’ll say they need money to pay the mortgage. The excuses will seem plausible and some will seem bizarre. Whatever excuse they give – don’t believe them.

When they ask for money – don’t give it to them. No matter how much they plead.

You really have to trust your gut. If something feels off, it likely is. Learn from the women in this ABC News report – and keep your money and heart intact.

While men find women who smile most attractive, the results for women may surprise you. Women found men who smiled less attractive than those who expressed pride or shame!

Does that mean men should promptly change their profile picture to one showing a different emotion?

Good question!

The study looked at sexual attractiveness not whether someone would make a good mate. While sexual chemistry is helpful, it’s not the only thing that makes a relationship works.

Guys – not sure what to do? At the very least you could add a second picture in which you express pride and see if you get more responses.

In late June Spindel and her assistants were in Vancouver, BC and Seattle, WA to interview women to see if any were a potential match for her client. After posting ads in the local media hundreds of women showed up and paid the $25 fee (which included a copy of Spindel’s book) to take a chance at finding love.

While eating lunch today I watched a bit of the Dr Phil show. He said he was going to reveal the answers from a poll he had run on his website.

What did women want for Valentine’s Day? 65% said they wanted a romantic evening planned by their man. This was followed by jewelry at 15%.

The number one choice for men was sex. 86% of men who answered the poll said this is what they wanted compared to only 6% of women. An 80% difference! Only 13% of men said they wanted a romantic evening.

Dr. Phil ended that segment by saying, “what we think is romantic is not what women think is romantic.” How true!
