Scammer Alert – Beware of Anyone Who Asks for Money

As more and more people go online, the scammers follow. Some of these scammers pose as members on dating sites, often as members of the military. They’ll even use a photo of a real military member they find online.

At some point they’ll ask you for money. Continue reading

Online Dating Gone Wrong

A man in Barrie, Ontario set up a date with a woman he met online. Nothing wrong with that right?

Except…the woman turned out to be his current girlfriend! Whoops!

To make matters worse, she threw coffee in his face.

My question… is he the only guilty one here? Was she also looking for dates online or did she join as she suspected he was?

How Many Men

3,144 single women were asked the following question by Match.com:

“How many frogs do you have to kiss before finding your prince?”

59% of women said more than 10… or more than their lip gloss capacity… Hmm… does that include school grade kisses?

Perfectmatch.com asked it’s members the same question and 54% said 11 or more.

Dumped on SMS

Can you believe that 25% of youth (15-24) have admitted to dumping their current boyfriend/girlfriend via text messaging?! Just because you’re older doesn’t mean you’re off the hook… 3% of those aged 65 or older also broke up with someone that way.

I wonder what happens if the text message gets lost. Talk about confusion.

Note: Stats noted above are from an article posted in 2005 at: https://www.mobileyouth.org/news/mobileyouth1330.html but can no longer be found on the site (as of July 12, 2011).
